We Made Me Ltd sold out of Administration

Diono, one of the leading manufacturers of child safety seats, has bought East Sussex business We Made Me Ltd out of administration.

We Made Me (WMM) – the nursery product manufacturer, distributor and retailer – fell into administration in June, before which the company had made all six staff redundant.

Elias Paourou and David Oprey, partners and insolvency and restructuring specialists at the Hove office of CVR Global, were appointed joint-administrators.

A sale of the business and assets to Diono® was completed by CVR Global on August 1.

Paourou, of CVR Global, said: “We are pleased to complete this sale to Diono.

“There was very strong interest in the business and completing this deal secures the future of the innovative product ranges created by We Made Me and could result in former employees being taken on by Diono.”

Daniel Lucas, CEO and founder of We Made Me, added: “It was important for us as a company to join a brand that held the same values and mantras as We Made Me does.

“Diono is the perfect brand to grow the We Made Me products, and combined we can continue to deliver safety and smiles to families across the world.”

Diono is based in Tamworth in the West Midlands and has its corporate global headquarters in Seattle, USA.

Brad Keller, CEO of Diono, said: “We are thrilled about the addition of We Made Me’s three hero products to Diono’s existing product line as this will allow Diono to continue evolving while also setting the standard for safety within the industry.

“Likewise, by acquiring WMM, Diono now enters the baby wearing market, adding to our development and distribution of safe and stylish products, which will help us continue to be a life partner for parents and their children from infancy to early childhood.”
