CVR Global are pleased to announce we have strengthened our senior team with the appointment of Tom Gardiner as Associate Director.
Tom is a licensed insolvency practitioner with more than 14 years’ experience of restructuring SMEs across various sectors, ranging from care homes and farms to automotive and retail operations.
He has joined our Colchester office where he will be working with the existing team on developing the business throughout Essex and the East Anglia region. Tom will have a particular focus on south and mid Essex where he has a wide range of existing contacts.
Before joining CVR Global, Tom ran the Essex office of a specialist recovery practice for over two years, and prior to that, was a senior manager in the high-risk credit team of a UK clearing bank managing around £50 million of impaired debt.
He also spent six years in a top 20 accountancy practice’s restructuring services department involving a series of formal appointments and managing trading administrations.
“I’m looking forward to using my strong network of contacts to support CVR Global’s long-term growth,” Gardiner said.
“Continuing to develop relationships with accountants and lawyers is going to be a core focus of mine because we, as recovery specialists, can never see a business too early.”
“I am always keen to advise businesses that need specialist financial assistance – whether it is a business anticipating a poor trading period or a company that is reviewing its options under creditor pressure.”
“Having experience from both a professional services and lender’s perspective has given me a well-rounded knowledge of the insolvency and restructuring industry, which helps to inform my decision-making when advising businesses and following an appointment.”
Tom will be working alongside CVR Global partner Lee De’ath and the team in the firm’s Colchester office.
“Tom is the ideal candidate to help us meet growing demand and expand our office even further,” De’ath said.
“We have developed a strong presence throughout East Anglia and Essex, and Tom will be able to help us to build upon this especially in south and mid Essex.”
