David Birne

Having completed a degree in Computing and Statistics, David qualified as a Chartered Accountant 1992 and then as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 1999. He originally trained at a top 25 accountancy firm before moving to a boutique restructuring firm in 2019 and then to Begbies Traynor in 2022.

He has over 30 years’ experience in dealing with restructuring and insolvency assignments. As well as taking formal appointments for solvent and insolvent Liquidations, Voluntary Arrangements, Administrations and Bankruptcy assignments, his skills extend to advising lenders and creditors with recovery tactics and action.

He has worked on assignments ranging from small owner managed businesses to larger companies with multi-million turnover businesses.
