Paul Cooper

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in the Corporate Finance Division at Price Waterhouse in 1994, Paul spent 15 years in investment banking, holding senior managerial positions in the equity cash and derivative divisions of UBS, as a Managing Director in European Equities and HSBC Bank plc, where he was Global Head of Cash Trading, Head of Emerging Market Equities, and a member of the Global Equities Management Committee.

Paul joined David Rubin & Partners in 2011. He is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner who brings a unique background of chartered accountancy, direct investment experience and debt and equity restructuring. and advising stakeholders of finding innovative and entrepreneurial solutions to problems. His experience in both investment opportunities and distress, which can often be closely correlated, is a powerful combination in providing commercial and value-added advisory services. David Rubin & Partners was acquired by Begbies Traynor Group plc in March 2021. Paul is now part of the Senior London Partner Group.
